Why Use Affordable Septic Solutions?
- Prompt, Courteous Service -- At Affordable Septic Solutions our goal is to treat you with the respect and attention that you deserve. We treat every project as if it was our own and do our best to try and meet our client's expectations while working within the confines of the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) Regulations.
- Expedited VDH Approval -- As an A.O.S.E. certified company, all permit and certification letter packets sent by us to the Health Department for conventional onsite sewage disposal system approval are governed under strict time line limits for VDH review. Individual construction permit packets must be reviewed within 15 working days, individual certification letters within 20 working days, and multi-lot submittals within 60 days. Failure of the Department to review these A.O.S.E. submitted packets within these time frames will result in their becoming "deemed approved" and automatic permits or certification letters.
- Secondary Treatment Permit Designs -- VDH will no longer themselves issue permits for secondary treatment sewage disposal system designs for new construction. All secondary treatment system designs must be submitted to them by either an A.O.S.E. or a professional engineer (P.E.). A.O.S.E.s under current VDH Regulations and policies can design onsite sewage disposal systems that incorporate proprietary, pre-engineered, secondary treatment sewage disposal systems for single-family residential projects. When working with commercial or multi-family projects, Affordable Septic Solutions works with local P.E.s licensed in Virginia to help our clients obtain sewage approval for their various projects.
- Onsite Sewage Approval -- In Virginia, only A.O.S.E.s are licensed in the private sector to perform site and soil evaluations for the purposes of determining if a property is suitable for onsite sewage disposal systems. From construction permits to subdivision approvals to soil evaluation reports for mass drainfield or commercial systems, VDH will only accept soil evaluation reports from A.O.S.E.s when reviewing projects for permit or certification approval.
